The Nutritional Research Foundation and Northern Arizona University (in Flagstaff–where I live) are launching a Nutritarian Women’s Health Study! The study hopes to follow women for many years to see what effect a nutritarian (whole food, plant based, nutrient dense) diet has on women’s health.
To participate you must:
- be a woman (non-pregnant), age 18 or older
- be willing to make dietary changes towards a whole food, plant based, nutrient dense diet
- have access to the internet
- be willing to answer questionnaires, interact with researchers and submit blood samples and body measurements as requested
Check out their website: Nutritarian Women’s Health Study Any question you have will likely be answered there, so click on the links and read what they say!
I have gone through the registration process and am enrolled in the study. My understanding is that this is an ongoing study…there is no endpoint.
Dr. Fuhrman is the driving force behind this study. (Thank you Dr. Fuhrman for seeking to improve the health of women!)
I have several of his books and recommend them. His book Super Immunity, is required reading for participation in the study and it is provided to those who enroll.
Check out the study and join me in it! Even if you have food sensitivity issues (as I do) you can still participate. The more people that join, the better the data will be.
And again, a big thank you to Dr. Furhman and Northern Arizona University for doing this study!! Women everywhere will benefit!
